MONTEVALLO, AL. – Luana Grabias got the offense going, and Tabea Schütt added on. Stefane Rosa and the Sharks' defense locked down the Falcons and secured the victory. Nova Southeastern takes down Montevallo 2-0 Sunday afternoon from the Varsity Soccer Field.

Luana Grabias got it going early, putting up a shot-on-goal attempt at the 9:29 mark, but quickly turned around and fired one into the back of the net at the 9:50 mark, giving the Sharks an early 1-0 lead.

Before the first half came to a close, Sofia Suarez and Bella Ramirez both put shots-on-goal, but both were knocked away by the Falcons' goalkeeper.

Similar to how the first half ended, the second half opened with Suarez and Ramirez firing shots-on-goal but were once again batted away.

In the 80th minute, Tabea Schütt lasered one into the back of the net (assisted by Ella Niemelä), extending the Sharks' lead to 2-0.

Stefane Rosa recorded one save, completing her second shutout victory on the season.

Coach Amy Vaughan – The group faced another tough region game. Montevallo is a tough place to come and the girls stuck together and finished off the weekend with an impressive team display.

Nova Southeastern is back in action on Saturday, September 16th at 7:00 PM as they return to Fort Lauderdale, FL to host Florida Tech at the NSU Soccer Stadium.
